From a privat collection, mostly unrestored Bugatti 51 GP 1933.
Having been rebuilt in 1984 during wihch the car was comprehensively overhault, this particular Grand Prix Bugatti
was subjected, at a later date, to a through inspection by world renowned independent Bugatti consultant and former BOC registrar David Sewell. In this inspection Mr. Sewell was able to confirm the authenticity and molsheim
origins of every major component including chassis and frame-number 678, the engine, gearbox and both front and rear axles.
The car even comes complete with an original original chassis plate stamped 51150.
The car completed the Monaco GP Historic setting a precedent which it has retained for being when aired on the track one of the most competitive 51 around. The car has been driven in anger at numerous European Historic events including the popular Oldtimer- meetings held at the Nurburgring. This exciting machine comes complete with full RAC issued F.I.A. papers and F.I.V.A papers and E.E.C registration papers and beeing a exeptionally well sorted example should prove competitive mount for any of the forthcoming Historic-Prewar events for with is eligible, and is capable of giving an exhilarating ride if used in its current sportscar trim on the road.
Finished in darkblue with black leather upholstery, this is a fine example of one of the most higly regarded prewar cars of all.
